Our apricot trees hardly ever produce any fruit because they are usually destroyed by a fungus during rainy spring weather. This year however it was very dry during their blossom time and one tree was really full with very delicious fruit. We just started enjoying all these wonderful apricots when one day the whole tree fell over, perhaps from the weight of the fruit. Although it was a big, fairly old tree it got partially uprooted and looks very sad now.
We picked most of the fruit, cut more than half of its branches to reduce water loss from evaporation through the leaves and we are watering the poor tree, hoping it will survive
